Lustre firing drop-off

Each registration is good for approximately one cubic foot of pieces. Members provide their own lustre, which can be purchased at pottery supply stores, online or in the lower mainland. Only gold or white gold is recommended; mother of pearl won't work at the same temperature. Here's an example of what to purchase.

Lustre overglaze is applied at to fully finished/glazed ware, and can be applied to earthenware, stoneware, or high-fire work. Please apply your lustre at home in a ventilated space, as the fumes are quite strong. If you need to apply at the studio, please sit outside. Once finished, lustre fired work should not be used in the dishwasher or microwave.

The lustre kiln will be loaded on November 10. Please drop off your painted work anytime on November 7, 8, or 9, and please pick up your fired work on November 12, 13, or 14.
